These Terms govern your use of the Tru platform.
By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). Please read them carefully.
Tru Identity, Inc. ("Tru Identity", "Tru", "We", "Us", or "Our") provides a risk analysis platform ("Tru Services" or the "Services") for brands and shippers to build and maintain compliant supply chains. Our platform offers seamless supply chain vetting and product compliance can help you get and stay compliant.
In the context of this document, “You”, “Your”, “Your Company”, “Entity”, and “Your Entity” represent the person or entity under contract with Tru Identity, or if no binding contract or payment agreement exists, then the user of the services, or whomever the data being provided represents.
By using Tru Services, you are consenting to these Terms.
Our platform is available to businesses ranging from SMBs through Enterprise, and our platform is currently accessible by referral only through one of our industry partners. As long as you play some role in the movement of a physical good/commodity, then you are exposed to potential supply chain risks, and Tru is valuable (and available) to you. Our platform is available in any region, and for any industry, but offers the most value to entities operating/registered in the countries of the G20, and especially to English-speaking countries, as we have dedicated resources and risk analysis available in these countries.
We handle personal information of our users, as well as detailed information on the entities that they represent. Your data is always stored securely, and we will never sell or share your data with 3rd parties without your express consent, however, once you grant us the right to share it, that right is irrevocable. You can learn more about how we use, govern, and manage your data in our Privacy Policy.
All data that we collect is encrypted in-transit and at-rest in our database, and all of our sites and services follow modern security best-practices. We encourage all users to use magic links for login, which improve account security and mitigate the risk of insecure passwords.
Some data may be made available on a public blockchain, and due to the nature of these blockchains, the data is irreversibly committed ("immutable") and cannot be taken down, modified, or altered in any way, even by us. The Tru Services will warn you at any time that such commitments to the blockchain are made, and by committing those changes you are agreeing to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Consequences of noncompliance can range from seizure of your goods during import, to personal liability of up to $1+ million or 10 years in prison. This is why Tru surfaces detectable risks within the regions that we operate, and we aim to make this information as accurate as possible. However; Tru's data is considered purely informational in nature, and should not be interpreted as legal advice unless it is expressly denoted as-such, in writing, in our communications to you. This is because the information provided in the Tru Services is only as accurate as the data you provide to us, and we are not able to attest to the veracity of your provided information like a hands-on advisor would be able to. However, Tru acts as a reliable research and discovery database to make you aware of possible infringements in each region that you operate, and with more information, we can provide more accurate results. We strive at all times to ensure the accuracy of the data provided, and as such, we have partners in many jurisdictions, like Licensed Customs Brokers, who are bound to agreements with the governments (in the countries they operate in) to be up-to-date, or they may be at risk of losing their license. These partners help to review our data as a term of our partnership.
Users may create a "Principal" account, where they get access to our suite of compliance tools, starting with Product Compliance and Vendor Compliance. Some users may accept an invite to a Principal user's supply chain, and use the provided dashboard to declare business information.
Not all users must pay for services, however, we offer three compliance automation solutions that can be optionally registered for.
You must pay for these services with debit/credit card, as that is our only allowed method of payment.
The Platform Subscription is the base subscription that is offered. We currently charge a fixed monthly fee for our Vendor Compliance tool of $99 USD per month (billed as $1,188 per year or $744 per 6-months).
Your Platform Subscription includes:
Additionally, you may purchase Verification for each entity on the platform for a cost of $220 per year or $110 per 6-months.
The LSP platform is currently a-la-carte, and you can select from the following services:
Pricing is available during onboarding and varies based on your usage.
We offer refunds only in cases of extenuating circumstance, with evidence of such circumstance.
Refunds are issued solely at the discretion of Tru Identity.
Users must follow our "acceptable use" guidelines, which allow for reasonable usage of the platform. You cannot create accounts on behalf of others or other companies. Misrepresenting yourself is grounds to terminate your access to the platform, and in some cases, without a refund.
We reserve the right to close any account with or without cause at any time.
Your access to the services is limited by the lifetime of your billing subscription or plan, and all plans are billed either bi-annually — meaning every 6 months — or annually — meaning once per calendar year on the same day each year.
To benefit from compliance risk analysis, you must first purchase the Platform Subscription ("Platform Subscription" or "Base Subscription") during your company onboarding. If you have not yet been set up, the "Get Started" page is available here.
All additional features and plans are dependent on your base subscription, and all plans including the Platform Subscription will renew automatically until otherwise cancelled. If you fail to make payment, we will allow a brief grace period, at our discretion, where your data will remain available. After this grace period, your data may be subject to automated deletion and will be irrecoverable once deleted.
